|“When are the Oilers coming?” – the entire edmonton rush game|
Do you ever really just listen to the things that toddlers and preschoolers say? It’s hilarious, unfiltered and all sorts of awesome. Most of the time it makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me utter swears under my breath and sometimes, just sometimes, it’s profound.
Here’s some of the funny stuff this week:
“Mom, Violet peed on the floor and it’s like skating” We’ve been dealing with a diaper rash that we realised was caused from Pampers non-sensitive diapers that we have boxes of in the closet. We recently just realised it was the non-sensitive diapers that was causing her to be irritated, and we’ve had a lot of diaper free time. That means, we’ve had a lot of peeing on the floor time.
“Mom, Violet’s being bad again. Let’s go the store and get the bird cage” Okay, my fault. I shouldn’t have told her I was going to buy the bird cage to put her in.
“Don’t be afraid of me, I’m just your sister. Come and get the juice box right now. Violet (in a nice voice) then, VIOLET. Get here NOW.” Can you say crazy? Seriously. Sometimes I think this kid is crazy sometimes. Like in that state where she’s overtired and delusional and just laughing like a crazy person and you completely can’t even get through to her because she’s off the deep end? Yeah. that.
“I want to be a Cheerleader when I grow up” response “Cheerleaders don’t pick their noses” – Oh, Dads. Then, the conversation went from that to “You and me made a great pizza for supper”. Oh, her mind goes a million miles, I swear. She has the most random conversations with Dad before bed and last night was no different as I was having a bubble bath and Twittering, and he was doing bedtime.
What are some of the funny things you’ve heard from kids this week?
