Have you tried the summer collection from DAVIDsTEa? When I had the chance to give it a try I was inspired by the fruity options that were caffeine free. One of the first things that came to mind was to create a popsicle – a delicious, refreshing popsicle that was quick to create and preserved the delicious, fruit flavors of the tea.
Pink Passionfruit Infused FrenchVanilla Ice Pops
2 cups of pink passionfruit (double brewed)
To brew it strong, I added twice as much tea as I usually would and let it steep for twice as long. This really brought out the flavor and a bright, bright red/pink color that you can see here. I added sugar, and we used the leftovers for iced tea (it was delicious!).
1 cup french vanilla ice cream (your choice of brand)
Combine the tea and the ice cream like you would if you were going to create an ice cream float, stir in the ice cream enough so you can pour it into the ice pop molds, but don’t entirely incorporate it.
Freeze for at least 24 hours for best results!
