It’s birthday time around here and that means the requests are rolling in – from the Barbie Jeep to roller skates, she’s got her mind made up of what she wants for her birthday. She’s made lists and heard for the past month and a half that when we’re going to the store, we’re going to look because it’s almost your birthday.
Last month we went out for the evening. The next afternoon our neighbor knocked on the door and asked us if we knew our water was on. Nope. Oh, that kid is going to be in trouble!
Sure enough, there was water running all of the way down the alley, creating puddles, for a couple of blocks down.
Yeah, pulling her downstairs and asking her when she turned on the water resulted in her blaming those damn boys to saying she did it last night when we were at the movies. She’s tricky, and it’s hard to get a straight answer from a three year old so it was time to wait for the water bill.
Then? It happened again. Then, we took the faucet off.
The $330 water bill. Ugh. That’s the cost of a summer road trip, or you know, a Barbie Jeep. Happy Birthday Olivia, here’s a water bill in the console of that Barbie Jeep – Now, would you like monthly installments for that water bill?
It’s a good thing we
spoil love that kid.
Have you had the experience of an awesome kid induced bill?
