I’ve been itching to get grilling and find a few new go-to recipes for chicken and turkey burgers. Combined with one of our favorite Greek seasonings and leftover Tzatziki from the Farmer’s Market, we made Greek chicken sliders for lunch that were a hit with the kids. The entire process took about fifteen minutes, five minutes to prepare and ten minutes to grill (on med-high) 400-500 degrees.
To form the burgers, I used my Tupperware 1/4 cup measure, making the perfect thick and juicy greek chicken slider burgers. You could cut this in half for thinner burgers, and use 1/8 cup, cutting the grilling time in half too.
Greek Chicken Sliders
1 lb. lean ground chicken
3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1-2 tbs of Greek Seasoning
I used Clubhouse
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 handful torn/chopped cilantro
Top with Tzatziki, Greens/Herb Spring mix and feta to serve. Makes 10-12 thick and juicy burgers, 20-22 thin slider burgers.
What did the kids think?
Olivia is not a fan of feta no matter what I do. Rather than using feta on hers I topped it with a bit of cucumber salad and some mozzarella, grilling the burger so the cheese was melted. She’s a big fan of greek seasoning and liked the burger, through initially she was a bit weary. Violet ate the entire thing, loved the enormous but bite-sized and ate her feta.
That’s a hit!
