Shopping for a winter jacket feels weird when it’s 28 degrees outside. Trying it in inside the store over shorts and a tee is just plain strange. But, as with all of the deals at Costco, you need to shop early because the time the weather/season/holiday rolls around, the selection is gone.
Tip: Yellowhead Costco has the best selection of Carters sleepers
Some of the deals that we found at Costco this week were a clearance Nautica duvet ($34.97), Carters Blanket Pajamas ($7.99) and a down-filled jacket ($79). This was the year, the year that I decided that the wool jacket wasn’t going to cut it and we are going to get outside for walks and enjoy those winter activities, without freezing (well, me anyway). The kids don’t seem to mind the cold at-all.
While we were at Costco on 50th street, I noticed the fantastic kids twin quilt sets on sale for only $24.97, sheets on clearance and throw blankets perfect for getting cozy by the fireplace. Those are on my list of items to pick up for the kids before the cold hits – but for now, I’ll settle for the Duvet, blanket PJs and knowing that I am going to be warm on those winter walks to the miniature sliding hill at the park behind our house.
