This week we had a case of the Mondays that lasted all the way until Tuesday. There was a lot of whining, a lot of time-outs and a lot of “I’m not touching you” while fingers were half an inch away from their siblings face. There wasn’t a lot of housework being done. There wasn’t a lot of work being finished and there weren’t a lot of things that were being crossed off of the to do list.
I even hired a Mother’s helper. Starting Friday, two afternoons a week I am going to be able to work without interruption (I hope). Is it bad that I am counting down the hours until we get to meet her on Friday?
A serious case of the Mondays. It called for me to pull out some of the big guns when it comes to occupying the kids – it was time to take out the shaving cream paint. (Though, we were out of shaving cream so I had to use shave gel and spent an extra few minutes mixing the gel into cream that the girls could use to paint the bath tub).
Two Ingredient Bath Tub Paint
Mix the shaving cream into containers, or a silicon muffin tray of your choice with 2-4 drops of food coloring. Mix well. Mixed into the shaving cream, you’re going to be able to use it in the bath tub without any stains at all. The shaving cream paint rinses off with the simple water from the shower.
And? It should give you a good forty minutes to get some of those unanswered emails taken care of while you work from the bathroom floor.
