Lean ground turkey is one of my current favorite things to buy at Costco. You can get a pack of four for around $18 (less on sale) making it a budget friendly base to create meals with. I like to buy the pack of four, make a batch of chili,a batch of taco mix for the freezer and a couple of batches of different flavoured sliders, like Teriyaki chicken sliders with pineapple or another favorite below, these ground turkey greek sliders.
Freeze: Greek Turkey Sliders
Ingredients: lean ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, greek seasoning, ciabatta buns (extra
Directions: Combine lean ground turkey, 1/4 cup of panko or oatmeal, 2 tbs of greek seasoning and ground pepper together. Form into sliders
Form the burgers into sliders and put into the freezer, seperated with wax paper until they harden, on a tray. Once the turkey sliders are formed, I will put them into a container or freezer bag until we’re ready to use them.
When it comes time to cook, they cook in minutes on the grill, making them a quick and easy meal when you combine them with fries. It’s a kid friendly way to work some ground turkey into your meal plan. I serve with tzatziki sauce, and you could easily swap out the Italian ciabatta buns I use for sliders for pitas (at about the same price) from Costco.
Serve with: sweet potato crinkle cut fries (refrigerated section $2.99)
