There’s a lot going on this weekend. It’s Valentine’s Day and we’re hosting a dinner with family to make-your-own-pizzas and Valentine themed Sundae bar and House of Cards season 2 comes out on Netflix. We aren’t exchanging gifts – because let’s face it, there’s nothing that we really need.
Wait, there is something that I want.
Twelve hours of uninterrupted time to watch House of Cards Season 2 on Netflix. Because, it comes out on Valentine’s Day. Of all days – the day that we have a dinner planned with the kids and family.
You can bet I’ll be checking Netflix throughout the day to see when Season 2 has been released and you can bet that when it is, it’s mandatory nap time for the kids. And? I’ll probably be rushing all of the dinner guests away so I can get to watching House of Cards – it’s that good.
Or, I’ll just sneak off, watch Netflix upstairs. It’s make your own pizzas, I’m sure they’ll figure it out.
That’s what I want for Valentine’s Day. Twelve, kid-free hours, maybe a Saturday spent in bed? A drop the kids off at the grandparents and go-home and watch House of Cards, all day long? Maybe a take-out order of curry fried rice and salad rolls? That’s my idea of the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.
Nothing says love like enabling a binge-watch-of-Netflix, right?
If you haven’t watched it, you need to go right now, and binge watch season 1 – sorry in advance, you’re not going to get anything else done because it’s a fantastic show. You’ll find it on Netflix.
