One of those summer experiences that make it on to countless to do lists is a visit to the Edmonton Corn Maze. Finding your way through the maze with the kids, jumping on the air pillows and visiting with the animals is one of the ways that we’ve recently spent an evening with kids, crossing it off of our to do list, and getting a five-year-old led tour through the corn maze with a little help from Dad. Want more reasons to visit the Edmonton Corn Maze? Here are a few of my favorites:
Jumping on an Air Pillow
One of the first things that Olivia noticed when we arrived at the Edmonton Corn Maze was the air pillows. Immediately, she ran across the field ready to jump on them and bring her sister along with her. They were squishier than they look, perfect for jumping, and they could have easily spent upwards of an hour jumping around on the big air pillow – but tonight, tonight we were on borrowed time before melt-down-o’clock.
Running Through the Corn Maze Paths
Next, we checked out the different passports, and the mobile version with QR codes throughout the maze – but Olivia decided she was going to be the leader and lead us through the corn maze. We were fine with that though, it’s not like we were going anywhere. So, lead she did. She lead us through the first couple of phases pretty quickly, and we decided to bring her out of the maze and show her what the maze actually looked like from above. Hilarious, just like her mother, she declared it ‘a-maze-ing’.

In case you’re wondering; no, my kids don’t like shoes. Knowing all the well that the sign of a summer day well spent is dirty feet, we encouraged them to take them off and run through the corn maze. Then, we discovered a bridge that helped us to see everything, and of course the kids needed a better look.
Learn A Few New Jokes
The knock knock interrupting cow joke is one of my regulars, so I bet Olivia was stoked at the prospect of me learning a few more. I’ve added a few of these funny farmer jokes to my regulars and took advantage of the great photo opp (plus, there’s another great mural that would give you some fantastic photo opportunities at the farm).

There’s even more to do at the Edmonton Corn Maze than what we listed. You can bring a picnic, use one of the BBQ pits and let your kids lead you around the maze, racing through it. Sit under the covered picnic tables to get out of the sun, or go early to avoid the crowds. Print or show this 20% off Edmonton Corn Maze coupon to save on your next visit to the maze.
