Slip and slides evoke so many memories of my childhood. The sheer excitement of heading down the long strip of vinyl on the grass, and the extra charge that comes from a bit of soap. I want to create those memories with the kids, and what’s a better way to do that than take part in one of the biggest slip and slides, ever.
Slide the City brings 1,000 fit of slip and slide fun to your city, and it’s coming to Edmonton on July 18, 2015. Tickets are not yet on sale, but you can sign up for news and get alerted when they’re available here.
Ticket prices range from $15 (early registration) to $50 (VIP registration that includes early and late slide times, a tube, a t-shirt and a hat). Kids five and over (or 46″ tall) are able to slide, and require parental consent. Everyone sliding needs a tube to slide on, and the regular event begins at noon.
The event is pending approval from the city, and if approved, tickets are going to go on sale Mid-February, making it the perfect chance to look forward to a new experience during the summer.
What a fun way to spend an afternoon, right?
