Instagram is my favorite social media platform. It’s where I’m sharing the everyday, some of the delicious food that we’re making, those moments captured as the kids grow before my eyes and it’s where I find inspiration for things like painting our letter magnets that hang on the fridge gold, or try a new recipe (you know, something that the kids are going to eat). You can curate your feed, filling it with follows that share wonderful things to inspire you, let you discover and add something special to your five minutes of alone-time. Here are some of my favorite instagrams:
Andrea is a local Edmonton photographer who inspires me with her capturing of the pretty, and combining it with the real life everyday. You can find her at andreahankiland.com where she’s sharing something daily, and you can literally watch her kids grow up. Plus, her photography? swoon.
Bee Kattman is raising nine children, and does it with such grace – sharing those beautiful moments and everything in between. The beauty of it all always makes me smile, and makes me feel that with two, or even eventually four, I can do this thing.
Whenever I’m searching for something easy (and healthy) I’ve found it lately browsing through the instagram feed of Kiwi and Bean. You’ll love the make ahead recipes and the little veggie tasting of a tiny person in a high chair. A few of the recipes have made it on to our meal plan this week, and I’m always inspired.
People who swear more have better sex. I read that the other day on Facebook, so it’s obviously true. Though I’ve been trying to quell the f-bombs, I can get my fix with thug kitchen and it’s hilarious, delicious food – and you’re going to get inspired. Plus, you might even be tempted by peas.
Looking for something to do in Edmonton? Want to see what’s new for parents in the city? You’re going to want to follow RaisingEdmonton. It’s a collaboration between a handful of Moms bringing you the details you want to know when you’re raising kids in the city. Raising Edmonton is new, but we’ve gotten some great ideas about living in the city.
Finding inspiration for lunch seems easy when you browse through the images that are created here. Lunch time inspiration came in the form of French toast and bacon, most recently – and you’ll find a lot more inspiration, and tips to make lunch simpler, too.
Finally, maybe a little biased – but if you’re following along with my adventures you can stay up to date with some of our favorite things, some easy recipes that we’re trying and the stuff that works, for us.
