Capturing summer memories, whether you’re in the water coasting down one of the fastest slides you’ve been on or whether you’re walking up a mountain in the badlands, is easier when you have the right tools. This weekend, we had the chance to test out some of the features of the Kidizoom Action Cam, from VTech.
Kidizoom Action Cam from VTech
Using the Kidizoom Action Cam from VTech, the kids captured memories from a night at the indoor pool, to biking on a path through the river valley and weekend memories on a bus tour through the Badlands.
Everything that you need to capture adventure can be found inside the Action Cam box. You’ve got the waterproof case, sticky attachment that we immediately put on Olivia’s helmet, charging cord that doubles as a way to upload the images and video captured and accessories to make it easy to attach to a bike or scooter.
The video quality exceeded my expectations and the expandable memory MicroSD made it easy to create longer videos, and capture more memories without offloading the videos to the computer. There is a two hour + shooting time with each charge, making it simple to charge it for a weekend away and let the kids go wild with the video – without it running out of batteries.
The first time we brought out the camera, we tried out the underwater housing for the Action Cam and were able to capture some great video and image shots.
The mount for the camera to Olivia’s helmet was effective, and had it’s first try on her first solo bike ride around the block. Videos were impressive when taken outdoors with natural light and the kids were quick to learn the functions to record, play back and add frames to the videos and images.
You can find the Kidizoom Action Cam at Amazon, Mastermind Toys and Toys R Us in early summer for $69.99.
