A few years ago we had this fall season that was filled with every single virus, cold and illness that was going around. It was the first year that we enrolled Olivia in activities, and I guess her being around more kids, us being around more spaces as we transitioned from outdoor play to indoor play and the combination of all of those germs out there meant we got everything that year.
Since then, we’ve been avid users of ‘hanitizer’ as the kids call it. Knock on wood, but we’ve never been struck with as many illnesses as we were that first year we ventured out into the world of indoor playground and swimming lessons for the first time.
Take the Purell 30 Day Challenge
To help avoid another year like that, we signed up for the Purell 30 Day Challenge. Just in time for back to school when Olivia’s going to be spending her first year as a full day student in grade one we are going to use Purell three times a day.
Confession: I probably don’t nag the kids to wash their hands enough – and they’re touching dirty, sticky things all day long.
The 30 Day Challenge is well timed because of back to school but also because I’m not the ‘go-wash-your-hands-mom’ unless they’re going to eat something, or they’ve just eaten and I don’t want them to touch anything in the house with their sticky hands.
Tip: Sign up for the challenge and you can enter for your chance to win prizes from Purrell and download coupons that you can help to keep the spread of germs in control during back to school (and all season long).
Follow Purell on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and learn more about how you can help to stop the spread of germs – after all, it has been reported that 80% of germs are transmitted by the hands.
Here’s to a healthier back to school season – let’s shake on it.
