That’s Why You Don’t Buy Shampoo on the Internet

Lori Saving Money

She’s much happier than I was!

If you’ve been reading for a little while you might have learned about my splurge for me on beauty boxes. You sign up, pay the monthly fee, and get box filled with deluxe samples and often full size products in the mail.

Then one day you notice the little “shop now” and decide to check out NEW products for yourself. You might decide to splurge and think about the fact that you could use some new shampoo and conditioner. This folks, is when you should stop.

Stop right now and go to Chatters.

Whatever you do, don’t buy shampoo online unless you can smell it first. I read the reviews and researched the brands and wanted to find a shampoo that would get rid of the epic tangles that drive me insane. I read great things about this brand called Miss Jessie’s. I mean, it could take the tangles out of weaves and curls - so it could tackle my thick hair no problem, right? Plus, I used the baby buttercreme that I received in the glymm box and it was a fantastic, fantastic leave-in.

And there wasn’t a problem - until I stepped into the shower.

I started washing my hair and immediately noticed the black locorice smell. I decided to prevail, and went on to use the shampoo not thinking it could get much worse.

What happened next?

You know that awful nasty flea puppy-shampoo smell? That. All over my hair and no time to shower before dinner and I was forced to go with eau-de-flea-shampoo. The conditioner was worse than the shampoo.

All three people that I demanded sniff my hair and tell me what it smelled like agreed that I was only partially crazy for making them sniff my hair and pop-quiz them.

And that my friends, is why you dot buy new shampoo on the Internet. What’s the most awful thing you’ve bought online?
