Are you looking for something to do with your toddler to celebrate Valentine’a Day? Sensory box activities can be a great way to spend a cold afternoon indoors and they’re easy to dress up and create holiday inspiration with inexpensive accessories. This is one that we created last year, and stored the beans and accessories in Ziploc bags so they would be perfect for Violet this year. They kept well and the entire sensory box was simple to reconstruct.
Here’s what we used to create this Valentine’s Day sensory Box:
- Red Beans
- Cookie cutters
- Heart shaped scoops
- Valentine’s confetti
- Heart shaped dollar store Toys
I love Sensory Boxes. Olivia loves filling up cups and usually brings out her play dishes to fill them up even more. After I am finished with the seasonal types of Sensory boxes I will put the contents into a Ziploc bag where I store it with the seasonal items until next year. This is the first time I’ve used red beans though, will they keep until next Valentine’s Day?
