Easy Preschool Spring Cardstock Puppets | Rainy Day Activity

Lori Kids Activities

It’s a beautiful rainy afternoon out there today. We spent some time out in the rain and were inspired by the Spring weather, the rain and the puddles. We decided to come home and create some puppets so we could create our own springtime rain walk under the coverage of the porch while we played outside, enjoying the nice mist.

These were very easy to do, I traced the outline of some of the shapes, made some crude paper dolls and used a few sheets of cardstock that we had on clearance from one of our Michaels excursions. To top it off, I topped paper straws leftover from parties and we made puppet shows all afternoon.

We made a Sun, raindrop, a boy, a bunch of girls, a house, a rainbow, a cloud, a puddle and Olivia made a road and a rabbit, and Violet.

In fact, they’re still being played with as I sit here and blog about this. And? I am heading back outside on the porch to play more make-believe with Olivia and Violet. Happy rain day!
