We took the girls to Canmore this weekend to spend some time in the mountains. We slept in, had some wonderful meals, spent time outside and went on their first Gondola ride (one of the highlights of the trip for Olivia and awesome despite the fact that it wreaked havoc on my sinuses). When we got down they immediately wanted to go up again. Should have bought those season passes! The fresh air was wonderful but the weekend went by way too quick.

easy enough for storage when she didn’t want to walk

yes, that’s the size tag on her pants that she insisted on keeping

We’re going back to check out the Serena Ryder concert closer to the end of June and I am looking forward to a kid-free weekend where we aren’t going to have a packed Jeep full of the stuff you need for kids. The stuff like portable cribs, cots and the small things like diapers and sippy cups that seem to take up a lot of room in your bag. The Joovy Groove stroller folds and unfolds quickly, and can be packed into the tightest of packed spaces.

see, fits into the most packed of spaces!
Finding the right gear for a weekend away comes with a lot of trial and error I think - but I can save you some guess work when it comes to finding the right stroller, because the Joovy Groove is everything that you need. It’s easy enough to push down a small flight of stairs, and light enough to pick up with a toddler in there.

Five reasons Why the Joovy Groove is Awesome:
  • It’s easy to push, lightweight and steers so well that a four year old can easily navigate the sidewalks
  • There’s a decent amount of storage in the bottom for an umbrella stroller. Enough for two kids winter coats, candy, souvineres and a new hat.
  • It folds up nice and small - and you can do it in a matter of second (after you shake out all of the ice cream cone crumbs from the kiddo using it
  • It’s versatile and was just as easy to push with a one year old in it or with a four year old in it that was tired of walking around.
  • Extended canopy was perfect for that rainy evening we spent walking around - and just as awesome to block a bit more sun during the afternoon.

Now all we need to think about is where to take the girls next? Any suggestions for the next kid-friendly road trip?
