We took the girls to Canmore this weekend to spend some time in the mountains. We slept in, had some wonderful meals, spent time outside and went on their first Gondola ride (one of the highlights of the trip for Olivia and awesome despite the fact that it wreaked havoc on my sinuses). When we got down they immediately wanted to go up again. Should have bought those season passes! The fresh air was wonderful but the weekend went by way too quick.

We’re going back to check out the Serena Ryder concert closer to the end of June and I am looking forward to a kid-free weekend where we aren’t going to have a packed Jeep full of the stuff you need for kids. The stuff like portable cribs, cots and the small things like diapers and sippy cups that seem to take up a lot of room in your bag. Finding the right gear for a weekend away comes with a lot of trial and error I think - but I can save you some guess work when it comes to finding the right stroller, because the Joovy Groove is everything that you need.     I have an avalon stroller that i got for half off when zellers closed. Its almost exactly the same as yours, and YES, its been a lifesaver. Not as wimpy as a cheapie umbrella stroller, but just as portable! and it came with a free diaper bag.

      It’s interesting to hear that someone has had a good experience with Avalon strollers. We have one purchased half off at Zellers too and it’s sitting in the garage. It’s awful!

    Great pics! When my son was younger, I used a Quinny Zapp - super easy to navigate, folded to a nice small size and had a travel case. The downside - my model didn’t have under stroller storage but I think more recent models do.

    My son is 6 an I just got back from a European vacation where I left him in my dad’s care for 2 weeks! So hard! Thank goodness for FaceTime.

      I traded in the Zapp for this one because I was getting to be a stroller hoarder (; It was a fantastic ride as well. The deciding factor for the decision to use the Joovy full time was the canopy, I was always pulling at the Zapp canopy trying to keep the kiddo shaded!

    I think I needs me one of those!! We have a big, clunky stroller and its just not working for us these days. It’s hard to push around in big crowds and it’s hard for me to get in and out of the vehicle.

    Hubs and I are thinking of going to Performance In The Park too! I really want to go but it would be our first time leaving Abby :( Gah! I don’t know what to do…!!

      YES!! Go!! It’s my first time leaving both of the kids for the weekend. Is that lame? Olivia’s going to be four. I think we’ve left her overnight… once? Don’t be lame like me, Totally go. And then we can see you there!!
