The Corn Maze is a staple to summer fun in Edmonton. The maze has got to be on your summer bucket list, at least once - and this year we discovered just how much more there is to do after you’ve gotten lost in the maze.
From getting knee deep in corn kernels, to getting up close and personal with a goat, exploring the maze, climbing on a real tractor, the biggest chair the kids have ever seen, or shooting a spud gun at the funniest target - there are many things that you’re going to want to explore at the Corn Maze this year. Here are a few of the things you need to check off of your list.
Bring a Picnic | Take advantage of the picnic sites that you can use while you’re there. You can reserve a picnic site, or pack food and bring it along.
Spud Gun | $2 for a three turn chance to hit a very funny target, you’re going to want to bring along some change to try out the Spud Gun.
Get up Close with a Goat | This was one of the kids favorite parts. Bring quarters with you to grab some feed and get up close with the goats and cows in the farm area. The kids were enthralled with the fact that the goat has a playhouse.
Race a Pedal car | Race the pedal cars around the track. Olivia won, Jamie crashed and I made it all the way around unscathed with Vi in tow. It was a pretty awesome part of the experience.
Jumping Pillows | Two jumping pillows, one for small people and one for adults are there for the fun jumps, flips and runs that you’re going to want to try. Olivia got some great air for flips!
Get Lost in the Maze | One of these years, we are going to make it to the end of the maze. The kids are obsessed with the jumping pillows - so we get a quarter of the way into the maze and they’re ready to get back out there and enjoy the activities. That’s fine though, because we’ve planned a date night to get lost in the maze, without the kids (and obviously some fun on the jumping pillows).
There are more than enough activities that are going to keep everyone entertained while you’re there. We’ve planned a day to go back to the farm and reserve one of the picnic spots to take advantage of the fire pit and picnic table, later on in the season and make it to the end of the maze (because we’ve yet to make it to the end with the kids yet).
