Currently: Labelling Everything for Summer Camp

This summer, I’ve planned a week of child-free days where I can to soak up the sun while I eat gelato and spend hours catching up on work at Starbucks, instead of an indoor playground. You got it – it’s camp season. Olivia’s off for her first sleepaway camp, and Violet’s spending a week learning skills that are going to help her if she ever decides to run off and join the circus.

Summer camp means ‘serenity’ for moms – and labels. It means spending time labelling everything from bathing suit bottoms to backpacks, water bottles to lunch containers, headbands and everything in between.

Like any busy mom, I shop around and ordered enough custom waterproof labels to get us through summer camps and even into fall-activity season. Ordering the labels online takes minutes, and means that I don’t have to drag the kids to shop; the kids can even pick out their favourite designs.

I sought out labels that are created with quality materials and safe. Labels that are going to be laundering and dishwasher safe. I sought out labels that were available with different combo packs to make sure we had enough labels for those random camp items, like the personal bottle of sunscreen, but that could also be used to label a backpack.

As a four-year-old, Violet and I had different priorities. She wanted kid’s clothing labels that have princesses on them. She wanted labels with her favourite princess on them. At MyLabelFactory.com, she got her princess labels (Elsa to be exact) and I got labels that use high quality materials like 3M and HP Inks, that I could toss in the dishwasher, or the laundry machine, without worrying if the labels were going to detach.

Wondering where to start? The Camp Combo is a great starting point for parents searching for labels. If you’ve got more than one kid, and want to get the best bang for your buck, I suggest labelling with your last name, rather than the first name of the child. This way, not only is it going to make hand-me-downs easier, but you’re going to be able to share combo packs between kids. And delivery is free too. Genius, right?

Whether you’re shopping Disney Princesses or Star Wars, Marvel or Sesame Street, you can find labels for all children at www.MyLabelFactory.com – and get those camp bags started early, so you’re not packing five minutes before you’re running out the door to deliver your kid a magical summer experience (and save your sanity).
