On June 1st we posted a deal. The deal was a fabulous pair of Toms for only $29 + $12 Shipping. We posted the deal only after confirming with Dealticker, the daily deal website, that the Toms were authentic.
Check out the pair that Justine at Canadian Daily Deals received in the mail. Clearly NOT Authentic.
Dealticker is not being very helpful - claiming that you have to contact E-accessories to arrange the refund. E-accessories is charging shipping costs to ship them back.
I have been informed that the orders haven’t shipped yet, so make sure to contact Dealticker to request your refund - Calling is the most effective method 1.866.480.3011
Dealticker claimed the Toms were Authentic. They’re not authentic. You should have to pay NOTHING to ship them back. You should be refunded in FULL.
I bought several pairs for family members wanting the deal. You bet I am going to be contacting them to get my money back from the sale.
Contact Dealticker on Twitter @DealtickerTO and let them know what you think. Don’t pay any fees and request to be refunded in full. Why should you have to pay when you bought authentic Toms - and these are no such thing.
If that doesn’t work, contact the credit card company you used to buy the deal. They will likely be accommodating.
Plus, there are some interesting comments on Justine’s blog that claim Dealticker and E-accessories are owner by the same company.
In the future, Avoid Dealticker - and stick to these reputatable Daily Deal websites.
And fans have our apologies for posting this deal and having it turn out this way.
