We’ve been sick for ages around here. No, seriously. I don’t know what it is about the change of the seasons or Olivia starting to go to a dayhome once a week (could it really make that much of a difference!?) and us spending a lot more time at indoor playgrounds but I think I might start to bubble wrap the kids before we go anywhere or, start bathing in hand sanitizer.
I bet the plague started with preschoolers
On the verge of losing my voice and a toddler that is responding to nothing but yelling today, I decided that today I would host a pity party of one - or, you know, more, if there are more Mamas out there that need a day to sit in the bathtub all day long and finally get over the cold, flu and stomach bug that we’ve been cursed with over the course of the past month.
I don’t remember the last time that I felt great. It’s been over a month of bad sleeps with sick kids, babies that want to eat all night long and feeling like I’ve been run over by a bus.
and the worst part? Oh, the patience. I have None. No patience. Not happening.
With trying to work at home and a toddler that thinks I’m her chair, crafts to keep the kiddo busy and walks in between my ‘I feel like crap’ calls to Frugal Dad it’s been a long, long month.
We’ve gone through a ton of tylenol. It’s a good thing there have been some great tylenol sales lately.
Well, that was a nice little party for one, but off I must go to make the kiddo some finger paint and enjoy the four point seven minutes of bliss it brings (;
How do you stay sane when Mama is sick?
