Looking for something to do in New Year’s Eve in Edmonton? There are many fabulous activities that families can take advantage of, whether you are looking for something to do in Edmonton early in the evening, or stay up late and enjoy the fireworks.

Family New Year’s Eve Celebrations at Churchill Square
There is something for everyone at this family event starting inside City Hall at 7pm. Indoor activities include kids crafts, activities, magicians, face painters, balloon art and music. Later, at 9pm, the outdoor activities continue with street dancing, fire twirlers, stilt walkers and entertainment. All of this leads up to musical performances until a ten minute Fireworks show at Midnight.

New Year’s Eve at the Muttart
Looking for a way to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the kiddos while still being able to enjoy the adult festivities later in the evening? The Muttart has a countdown to ‘midnight’ between ten and two, that includes a masquerade ball, costumes, arts and crafts, entertainment and more.

Looking for something indoors to do with older kids? Check out the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball at West Edmonton Mall Waterpark featuring live entertainment, party favors, piniatas between six pm and midnight with a fantastic indoor Fireworks show!

New Years Eve Safari Themed Festival in Sherwood Park
Taking place between 4-8 on New Year’s Eve, the Safari themed festival including performances from Alex the Lion from Madagascar at 5, 6:15 and 7 pmand the Safari themed Jungle Ice Slide (near Broadmoor Lake) and the outdoor shelter. Plus, you can take advantage of the outdoor activities too!

Enbridge Energy Zone in the Agora #shpk
There are some great activities taking place at Festival in Sherwood Park - including outdoor and Safari themed activities above, but also some great indoor activities. Inside the Agora, you can take advantage of inflatables, drummers, fun with Salto Gymnastics and festive hairstyles from Beaners.

New Year’s Eve at the Toy Hutch with Momstown
Looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve morning? You can head over to the Toy Hutch and take advantage of a great event and introduce the kiddos to the awesome venue filled with bouncy castles, make a baby’s first New Year’s ornament and have cake and crafts for a two hour party filled with fun. $15/20 cost per family (members/non members). It’s a great way to celebrate!
