You know when you find a pair of leggings that feels like a dream? A pair of leggings that is comfortable for working out but that you want to wear all the time? I’ve been wearing a pair of the Public Myth leggings for about a year, and months ago added a pair of Neon Nymph leggings to my closet - and when I want to be comfortable, when I want something bright on the bottom, I grab them.
I’ve bought every single leggings brand from Costco. Black Wonder Unders are a favorite bottom - but the Public Myth leggings? They’re made of fade resistant and shrink resistant fabric. In the entire few months that I’ve been sporting the Neon Nymphs, they haven’t faded, and they haven’t shrunk (like most clothing, I never put them in the dryer).
The leggings have a nice wide waistband that’s really comfortable, low rise, and at first, they feel kind of slippery. Did I mention they’re comfortable? I mean really comfortable. Like disappointing when both pairs in the laundry room kind of comfortable, and you’re hanging out with the kids at-home. I can see these getting a lot of wear when it comes time in 2015 to finally get off the fence about having a third child, and taking the plunge, because there is nothing better than leggings and tunics when you’re pregnant and want to look as if you give a care, when really, you’re just happy that you’ve made it to the shower that morning. The rise is a bit lower than usual pants, so if you’re used to higher pants you might be tempted to hike them up, so keep that in mind while shopping.
There are a few prints that are on my want list for 2015 - the inception leggings, Luna Nymph leggings and the Hypernova legging (if there’s ever a size large!).
The down side? The sizes are limited and the selection on the website can be slim if you’re shopping for a size large, which I find frustrating, since I am.
At $77 USD/pair - they’re a splurge, but I’ve purchased plenty of $10-20 leggings in my life and none have been as comfortable, or as durable. In fact, I just tossed two pairs of leggings in the donate basket in the laundry room that I bought last month from Costco. They’re pulled, and stretched and just not as comfortable as they were the first time I wore them. The fact that I’ve worn these leggings at least 15 times, and they’ve been in the rotation for six months without ANY fading or pilling, screams that Public Myth leggings are high up there for quality
