We’ve had this fantastic bag of oversized magnets sitting in the cupboard for months. I took them off of the fridge and put them away, knowing that there was something special that we were going to do with them, but to declutter and make life more simple, we were taking most of the kid toys out of the main area of the house. Taking my inspiration from Pinterest, I used metallic gold spray paint to create wonderful gold painted magnets that might be my favorite thing I’ve made all year.
With a $6.99 can of metallic spray paint (Michaels Sale), a can of primer and the bag of oversized magnets we created this small fantastic this small, fantastic project that took only fifteen minutes.
With cardboard behind the fridge magnets, I sprayed the back of the magnets lightly - with light strokes. When the back side was dry, I turned the magnets around and I sprayed the front of the magnets, with primer. After the primer was dry on both side, I used the gold spray paint to create something that I actually wanted to look at on the fridge.
How fantastic would they be in bronze?
