Binge watching is my specialty. I do it on the nights when Jamie takes the kids out for swim and dinner, and I enjoy the quiet while I catch up on work. Over the course of the last month, I’ve had two definite favorites, The Fall and Togetherness, both well worth the watch this month.
The Fall
Is it weird that I think Jamie Dornan is way hotter as a serial killer than he is as Christian Grey, in 50 Shades? Maybe it’s the beard. Lord knows I have a thing for beards. Anyway, it’s a fantastic and kind of fast binge watch that you can find on Netflix. You’ll quickly get hooked on the drama that you get to see on both sides, and develop a bit of girl crush on Gillian Anderson.
Togetherness
Real life. You know, the struggle is real and sometimes you just end up hitting your husband in the testicles when you’re trying to get it on. Or not. Regardless, this hilarious binge watch is one that I started out watching with one of my besties and though life got in the way, I binge watched it alone - where it was less fun, in just a few hours. Mark Duplass is golden, and I pretty much love the real-lifeness of the his and Rose’s relationship - and that moment after Kickball? gutting. Then? You kind of feel like Michelle is breaking your heart.
Black Mirror
An anthology style, modern twilight-zone-esque show that brings about the what if’s of the future, I go back and fort to this one. Always a twist in each episode, and a quick watch on Shomi, it’s one of the reasons you might want to give the Netflix competitor a try, even for a month to watch some of the series that you can’t find on Netflix.
Downton Abbey
You’ll find seasons one through three on Netflix, where you’ll fall in love with the abbey, the staff and the scandal that goes in inside. If you’re on a hardcore binge, you can find season four/fiv eonline - through iTunes or online television watching sites, but for the next you’ll have to wait until next year. Pace yourself. It’s fantastic. You’ll learn to adore Lady Mary.
