Refrigerator Features Families Like Us Need

Lori Tried it - Loved It

Appliance shopping is never something that I cared about. The last fridge that we purchased meant I was dragged along to four different stores, caring about nothing more than the number on the price tag, and not the features inside. After all, at that point the refrigerator was going to do little more than house the small amount of groceries that we would purchase through the week for the two of us.

Now, with a family to think about and no denying that I spend at least an hour in the kitchen every day, those features in appliances are starting to become more and more important to me.

Frigidaire Custom Flex

Smudge Proof Stainless Steel. Smudge. Proof. Stainless. Steel. Three year old fingers that have just given up on the spoon with her container of yogurt are no match for this fridge, that I’ve cleaned off countless times with a simple wet cloth - and the fingerprints, they simply disappear. You don’t get the smudging, streaking, needing to be buffed and shine stainless steel. You get a fridge that works for countless sticky fingers in the house, all racing to the fridge to grab their next snack with sticky yogurt hands.

Store More Drawer. This full length drawer is a great way to help to manage kids that are constantly looking for snacks, and garner independence at the same time. Cut up fruit, cheese, yogurt, nuts, snack bars and easy things to grab are easily stored in the drawer; a great way to give kids access to the fridge. Combined with the easy to organize and customize the Custom Flex door, it’s never been easier to organize the refrigerator.

LED Lights. Lights in the refrigerator and the top freezer make it simple to see the food in the refrigerator and freezer, at all times. This has helped us to see the back of the fridge, and avoid food that has been stuck back there, and going bad.

Door Alarm. One of my favorite features of the fridge is the alarm that sounds when the fridge door has been left open. This feature would have come in handy the three times over the course of the last six months that the kids have left the freezer open in the basement, allowing all of the food in the freezer to thaw to a refrigeration temperature and left us scrambling.

The Frigidaire Gallery Custom Flex helps to cut the costs of the grocery budget by giving you access to the food in the fridge, helps with kids who occasionally leave the door ajar and make cleaning stainless steel as simple as a quick wipe with a wet cloth - and these are the features families like us need.
