There are so many things you can do in Edmonton with the kids (for free!). We’re lucky to live in an area that has so many things to do with children (and for adults). I joke that there must be something wrong with the Moms that I know that claim to be bored (would you like some of my to do list?) because obviously they’re missing the many, many, free activities you can do every week in Edmonton with the kids.
This weekend we spent the weekend here in the city, packed to the brim with fun things to do. We were swayed towards building rather than buying, next year, when it comes to that time, and enjoyed bouncy castles, lunch, refreshments, snow cones, mini donuts and more at two Showhome mini-festivals this weekend - there was even a ferris wheel!
Unfortunately, only one of the builders is building in Sherwood Park, but we were able to determine a few more things that were on our want list.
Jamie also signed the girls up for the Lego Friends build event at the Lego store, where they each left with a mini build and a goodie-bag filled with a Lego Club magazine, and friendship bracelet Lego set - all for free. (You need to sign up for these events ahead of time, there’s at least one a month at the Lego Store)
Violet had her first Yoga class, for free, as part of the drop in classes we occasionally bring Olivia to at Ivivva stores. Though she terrorized Olivia for half the class, she learned some shaky yoga moves that she was so excited to display for us when she got home.
Want to stay up to date with everything there is to do in the city? You can find a calendar full of events, just for kids, every single month at www.raisingedmonton.com/calendar. Bookmark it for the next time you feel like there’s nothing to do in Edmonton.
