Most of the time, we’re spending hours outside until the day gets all used up - but sometimes, you just need to spend the day huddled under blankets, eating perfect cold day snacks and comfort food - and binge watching the kid-friendly shows on Netflix. As a bonus, you get a day filled with cuddles. Here are some of the kid-friendly binge watches in October.
Popples (debuts October 30)
Throwback to your childhood, Popples is now on Netflix. Bubbles, Sunny, Lulu, Izzy and Yikes. Always wanting to help their friends, neighbours and each other, the BPP’s optimistic intentions typically backfire in hilarious ways, leading them to find new and crazy ways to unwind the mayhem they’ve caused. Luckily they always manage to save the day in their own POP-tastic way. There are 26 episodes to binge watch those cold days away.
Canimals
Born in a vending machine, these can shape cuties, pop up everywhere and they’re filled with curiosity. They get into trouble wherever they go and the adorable show is a favorite with little kids.
Lily’s Driftwood Bay
Driftwood Bay is a special island that exists in the imagination of Lily, who creates a world of adventure and friendship from different treasures she finds washed up on the beach.
Puffin Rock
Puffin Rock follows the adventures of Oona, her little brother Baba, and their family and friends on a gorgeous and wild Irish island.
Monkey Thieves
National Geographic release of the Galta Gang. Rhesus macaque monkeys that live in Jaipur India, an observation of their daily lives without production interference. This is perfect for those days when you just can’t handle another animated television show.
Samsam
With the help of his flying saucer, magic cape and space ray, pint-sized superhero SamSam fights monsters and other bad guys. This has been our latest early-morning Netflix binge watch while we get ready for the day (or, get caffeinated, while Violet waits for us)
I’m part of the Netflix Streamteam. I get special perks for being part of the team - but it doesn’t influence the amount of Netflix that we would be watching (because let’s face it, I’m a binge watcher at heart)
