Introducing Charlsea and 6 Fun Additions Your Maplelea Girl Collection

Lori Tried it - Loved It

Gorgeous, high quality dolls that will easily last throughout a childhood, Maplelea Girls are something that have recently been introduced to the girls. Quickly known as ‘special’, the 18″ dolls are compatible with the clothing and accessories from other lines, like Our Generation and American Girl, there’s a distinctly Canadian twist on the girls - an aspect that we love.

For Olivia’s birthday this year, she received her first kayak - a gift well used on weekend trips to the mountains. She’s thrilled that ‘Charlsea’ the newest girl in the Maplelea Girls collection comes with her very own kayak, an incredibly made accessory. I’ve got the feeling she’s going to join us on many of our own adventures.

For children growing their own collection of Maplelea accessories, we wanted to share some of our favourites:

1/ Pirouettes and Plies
There are a total of ten pieces in this outfit collection that’s perfect for the young ballerina who wants a doll that looks like her. This a great starting point in the collection

2/ Charlsea and her Kayak
This kayak is incredible - so well made. Charlsea is the latest doll in the collection, a west coast girl and the kayak is a perfect fit for an outdoorsly lifestyle. It’s going to add so much to the play value, and is different than anything else available from other similar brands.

3/ Northern Spirit
The Northern Spirit outfit is one of my favourites in the entire collection. It’s my first choice for dressing because it’s so close to Olivia’s wardrobe during the winter months, all plaid and cozy. Those boots are fantastic (you can buy them separately) and we think it’s a great match for Charlsea’s outdoor lifestyle.

4/ Deluxe Wardrobe
This one’s more of a splurge, because for the longest time Olivia and Violet stored their dolls and accessories in the high quality boxes that Maplelea Girls arrive in. You can imagine that a three and six year old aren’t the most gentle on their toys, especially the ones they play with on a daily basis, like the Maplelea Girls - and the boxes have still held up. This year, we’re going to surprise them with the Deluxe Wardrobe, giving them a place to store those gorgeous Maplelea Girl clothing and accessories.

5/ Great Skates
The sturdy construction of these skates and the lifelike (but safe) style means that the girls can stand while they’re wearing these - adding even more fun to pretend winter with Maplelea.

6/ Wooden Toboggan
Is there anything more iconic to Canadian winters than a classic wooden toboggan? It’s currently on sale for $31.50, and it’s a great addition to your pretend play (one of the reasons it made Olivia’s Christmas gift list this year)

7/ Life Jacket
Charlsea comes with her own - but the fun in dress up play is having many, many options. This one is for the Maplelea girl Jenna, who wears it sailing with her family, but it gives Charlsea another option for when she wants to switch it up, or bring a friend with her kayaking!

Maplelea Friends are dolls are chosen based on appearance. Most kids love choosing the doll that looks ‘just like them’. This year, we chose the blonde-haired doll with a bob, blue grey eyes and the Ile de passage outfit, for Olivia.
