We’ve taken the plunge and decided it’s time for child number three. Right now, life is busier than ever with many different endeavors - so we might as well grab the bull by the horns and increase the size of our family, right?

Are you thinking about another child? Your first child? Here are some tips to help you to conceive quicker.

Track Your Cycle

My favourite app to track your cycle is Ovia. It’s an insightful app that clearly indicates the day when you’re most likely to ovulate. It’s easy to use, has a great interface and allows you to track ovulation using many different techniques.

Double Check

Use ovulation tests to determine when you’re really ovulating, in addition to tracking and predicting based on date information.

Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test helps you maximise your chances of conceiving naturally by identifying your 2 most fertile days each cycle by measuring the changes in level of a key fertility hormone – luteinising hormone (LH).

Combining information from a fertility tracking application, like Ovia, you can get the best bang for your buck with an ovulation kit, knowing when to start testing for ovulation.

Go on Vacation

Take off the stress. Take away the routine. Take away the schedule. Choose a vacation spot with a great kids club, and have some time to yourself. Throw in a couples massage, champagne for two. Plan your vacation around the time you’re ovulating, or get a weekend away without the kids and get busy.

Get Healthy

Put healthy foods in your body, exercise regularly and encourage your partner to get on board with a healthier lifestyle. Not only will you have more energy, but you’ll be in better condition to get pregnant.

One small change at a time can lead to more healthy choices. Reducing the amount of sugar you consume, replacing lattes with tea and more water, and replacing snacks with fruit and vegetables are some easy changes that can help to get you on track.

Taking the stress out of the equation, going on vacation and tracking ovulation can help you to conceive more quickly, whether it’s the first time, second time, or third time around.
