When I’m shopping for the basics for the kids, I’ve got a handful of places that I go first - for tees and tanks, it’s always Zara. With tees and tanks that range in price between $6-12 and that are cute (but not too cutesy), trendy and wash well, they’re a fast favourite.
They’re always soft, and often feature a combination of fabrics in the shirts available through the seasonal collection, to make you feel like you’re mixing it up a little when it comes to the kids’ wardrobe.
Then, there’s the sale section. You kind of have to stalk the site to take advantage of the sale, but when it’s there, I’m often found stocking up on everything in the next size up because you can usually save half off of the original price tag.
Looking through Violet’s closet this week, she had a definite lack of tees and tanks, so we decided to browse the spring/summer collection from Zara and she chose a few of her favourite things - like the shirts with the patches, while I added a few extra basics (the $6 tees) and a couple of sweatshirts, including this pink and gold heart one.
The patch tees are adorable, but they’re not slim fitting like the ‘Awesome’ shirt above, so they’re a bit wider on her tiny size 3/4 frame - but they’re comfortable enough for the summer, and she’s set for tees for the next little while, with the combination of 8 that I ordered online.
My favourite thing I wish I could still fit her into was actually in the boys Rock and Sand collection. That grey romper is adorable, and looks perfect for summer adventures - and totally seems gender neutral to me.
We love the fact that when the box arrives, it’s simply wrapped in one layer of plastic on the outside, and not every individual piece of clothing is wrapped up with it.
