It’s hard to believe we’re counting down the weeks until we’re a family of five—and with that, crossing off those last few things on our to-do list before the baby is born, and shortly after.
Our Third Baby To-Do List
- Schedule the meal deliveries
- Pre-order grocery deliveries for the staples
- Get a passport for the baby
- Open an RESP account
- Stock up on the essentials
While checking off the tasks on our to-do list, we learned a bit more about the ATB Baby Bundle Program. As part of the program, when you open an ATB RESP for your child and set up recurring transfers, ATB will deposit a $150 savings booster into your account. This offer is eligible for children between the ages of zero and two years old—check with your local ATB branch or visit www.atb.com/baby bundle for details.
Come the end of September, we’re going to be making deposits to three different accounts for three different children. For that reason, the extra boost in savings is going to be helpful. It’s going to make the initial deposit that much easier, and get the ball rolling on education savings for our third child—something that we’ve made a priority.
In addition to the boost in the education savings account, there are other bonuses. As an Alberta Baby Bundle subscriber, you can support Alberta businesses and save money, at places like Rocky Mountain Soap, Montana’s, AMA and Goo Goo Baby—giving us discounts as a perk for saving for the future.
By combining the best of both worlds, giving our RESP savings a boost through a trusted institution, and offering discounts so we can support local businesses, we’re able to grow the savings and save money on the things we’re buying on a regular basis.
Interested in getting a boost to your savings? Thinking about opening an RESP but haven’t taken those first steps yet? Expecting a new addition and want to cross off one of the last things on your to-do list? Sign up for the Alberta Baby Bundle at www.atb.com/babybundle and start taking advantage of special offers and the booster to increase the amount that you’re saving for future education.
