Find Summer Camps in Your Neighbourhood with MyRecGuide

Lori Around Edmonton

Keeping kids entertained during the summer can mean a lot of things – for us, it includes a mix of day trips, of ‘free time’ playing with friends, and summer camp. City of Edmonton summer Daycamps are high-quality, educational and fun experiences for children in Edmonton – and the best part? There are hundreds of camps available for local children and youth.Summer-Camp

Available for children between two and a half to seventeen, camp activities include everything from fine and visual arts, sports, science, history and outdoor skills. With so many options, where do you start?

Using MyRecGuide, parents can target Daycamps throughout the city to make the whole, ‘getting there’ even easier. Camps can be chosen based on close proximity to work or home, or through the popular camps located at city attractions, like recreation centres, river valley parks or through the neighbourhoods across Edmonton.

In addition to choosing camps based on location, parents can create a personalized summer Daycamp guide, sorting camps by age, location and theme, creating a customized listing of camps, making it easier to tailor the guide to the child’s interests.

Using our customized guide, we found 166 local camps that were in the locations we desired, for the specific ages of our children. To narrow this number down even further, we could choose specific themes of summer camps, or find one in our own neighbourhood.
