Get Your Eye Exams (and Perks) at Capital Vision Care

Lori Around Edmonton

Now that the kids are back in school and a routine has been established, a lot of us have crossed off ‘back to school eye appointments’ off of our list. Don’t worry though, if you haven’t – we’ve got a clinic that’s going to reward you to do it!

As we settle into the back to school routine, the home reading has been established and the kids are getting comfortable in the classroom – but what about their eyesight? Is your child able to see the board? When kids are at school, in front of the whiteboard or the chalkboard they don’t realise they can’t see properly. In most cases, they just assume everyone sees like they do.

As they get settled back into their desks and routines, parents can look for signs to see if they’re having issues with vision. Signs like: short attention span, losing their place when reading, avoiding reading or other classroom activities or turning their head to the side can indicate a vision irregularity.

Children’s eye exams are free of charge for parents, covered by Alberta Health Care until they reach the age of 18. Making an appointment is simple:, parents can book their eye appointment online for children or the whole family at Capital Vision Care, making it easier than ever to cross something off of the to do list.

Notice any of the signs in your kids?

Capital Vision Care in Windermere has a fantastic promotion going on, with movie tickets for each eye exam, and book a family member for an exam and receive a $150 gift card when you book yourself in for an exam, too. That’s a great way to take a bit off of the cost of replacing a pair of glasses, shopping the stylish selection for less – we love getting rewarded for the things that we would otherwise be paying for, so we’re excited about this promotion, with the adults in our family annual check-ups due later this month.

Whether you’re searching for glasses for medical reasons, or want cool and stylish eyeglass frames from high-end brand names like Coach, Hugo Boss, Tiffany & Co. and Paul Smith, it’s a great time to come in, and check out the selection and promotions in-store.

This post has been brought to you by Capital Vision Care. Find Capital Vision Care Windermere at 1217 Windermere Way. To book your eye appointment, contact the office at (780) 229-3937
