Lunch Dates: Pancakes and Fries for All Day Breakfast

Lori Around Edmonton

Mcdonald's All Day BreakfastOn Saturday mornings, we tend to spend the mornings lounging in bed, watching movies with the kids, reading books, doing crossword puzzles and eating cereal in bed, without the milk. Then, we finally get everyone showered, dressed and decide where to go for weekend brunch. When it’s Jamie and I, we like to explore somewhere new. When we’re with the kids, they’ve got three solid breakfast options on their list. One of those options are the hotcakes from McDonald’s.

There’s disappointment in their voices on those days where we’ve missed the breakfast menu. Disappointment that can only come from a four year old that wanted pancakes for breakfast, but not the kind that mom makes when we’re lounging around on a Sunday morning, no. She wanted the pancakes from McDonald’s, that she folds up and eats like a taco, hands covered in maple syrup by the time she has finished.

With a four day break this week, we finally had to time to experience McDonald’s all day breakfast, for the first time. Hotcakes and chicken nuggets, hotcakes and fries, the kids are free to mix and match around their favourite thing on the menu at breakfast - the hotcakes. There was no disappointment around here this morning - because McDonald’s breakfast is available all day long.

Catch Breakfast all day with menu items available 24 hours:

  • Egg McMuffin
  • Bacon ‘n Egg McMuffin
  • Sausage ‘n Egg McMuffin
  • Sausage McMuffin
  • Hash Brown
  • Hotcakes

You can mix and match your favourite breakfast items, sleep in without worrying about breakfast on the go or bring your kids for a breakfast that you’re not going to have to wrangle them up too much at - just choose your closest McDonald’s location with a Playplace and they’ll be occupied with something other than stealing all of your leftover fries.

It’s perfect for those Saturday afternoons when you’ve spent the morning lounging around in bed, and don’t leave the house until mid afternoon but you still want hotcakes, and you still want to have a lunch date with the family. The kids love visiting the store and using the new kiosks to order their favourite foods. That’s all part of the excitement! Though it takes a little longer for them to order up a breakfast kids meal, choosing their options.

Tip: When you order at the kiosk, you can also use the coupons for McDonald’s, that you can find through the My McDonald’s app. Today we used a coupon to save $1 off of a breakfast extra value meal.

Planning on visiting McDonald’s for All Day Breakfast - don’t forget to download the app so you can save a bit of money on your hotcake lunch date, too!
